THE VINTAGE EXPLOSION
The Vintage Explosion lit up the global stage in November 2022 when their soul-drenched cover of Sam Cooke’s A Change is Gonna Come went viral—racking up over 1 billion views and impressions across TikTok, Facebook, and beyond. Since then, this electrifying Scottish outfit has carved a meteoric path through the music world.
They’ve notched up four No.1 albums on the Worldwide iTunes Blues Chart, reached No.3 on the overall Worldwide iTunes Album Chart—just behind Taylor Swift and ahead of Arctic Monkeys - landed in the Top 10 on the US Billboard Blues Album Chart and hit Top 40 on the Official UK Album Charts. Their powerful live presence has sold out a 14-date UK & Ireland tour, seen them invited as house band for the BBC’s Big Birthday Bash, and made waves on national TV with a debut on ITV’s This Morning.
In August 2023, they dropped their debut album Havin’ Such a Good Time — a collection of ten self-penned modern classics that shot straight to No.1 on the Worldwide iTunes Blues Chart, outperforming legends like Joe Bonamassa and Van Morrison. It features the hit singles Don’t Knock Upon My Door and Take My Troubles Away, and was hailed by Vintage Rock Magazine as “a stunning debut, pinballing across multiple genres.”
Their live act continues to grow in scale and intensity, selling out venues like the 2,500-seat Glasgow Royal Concert Hall months in advance.
And 2025 is proving to be another landmark year. The current single, You Can’t Hurt Me Anymore, hit No.1 on iTunes Blues Chart (May 2025), further cementing their status as chart dominators. Meanwhile, frontman and songwriter Will Hitchell clinched top honours at the prestigious International Songwriting Competition, beating over 14,000 entries worldwide with his emotional standout track Sweet Love.
Their latest album, Saturday Night (released November 2024), continues the momentum—topping the iTunes Blues Charts across the world.
As they continue their UK and Ireland tour through 2025, The Vintage Explosion aren’t just reviving the golden age of music — they’re redefining it.
